Frequently asked questions
What if the other driver has no insurance?
You may need to claim under your own policy if you have uninsured-motorist coverage. The consultation reviews the coverage you have and the options available.
Who pays for the repairs to my vehicle?
Generally, the insurer of the party at fault. If that party has no insurance, your own policy may cover the costs under collision or uninsured-motorist coverage.
Who pays the medical bills if I am injured?
Depending on your location and policy, medical expenses may be covered by your health insurance or by the personal injury protection (PIP) coverage of your auto policy. They may also be claimed from the responsible driver's insurer.
