FALLS DUE TO STAIRS OR DAMAGED FLOORS
If you have fallen due to damaged flooring or stairs, do the following:
Take photos:
If the condition that caused your accident still exists, take pictures immediately of the accident scene as well as pictures of any cuts, bruises, or injuries on your body.
Witnesses:
If there were any witnesses, get the names, addresses, and phone numbers of each one.
Report:
Notify the landlord, superintendent, or building owner. It is very important that your landlord be notified of any accidents that occur in your building because they are responsible for notifying the building's insurance as soon as the accident occurs. If the insurance is not notified on time, it can cause problems or difficulties in your case.
